Beginners and snow-pros alike can succumb to Chill Factore's offer of a skiing or snowboarding lesson for one or two people. Visitors can hit the 180 metre slope for a 50-minute session to get to grips with the basics of side stepping, turning and mastering snowplough. Skiing and snowboarding equipment is provided, except for clothing; a jacket or trousers can be hired for £4, or both for £6.
Chill Factore, in Trafford Quays, Manchester, is home to England's longest indoor snow slope. Adjacent to The Trafford Centre, its location makes it a popular attraction for tourists and residents alike, and winter sports fans can practise all year round. There is also plenty for families and children, with snowmen and women of all ages able to experience the rush of the 60m luge slide, or the joy of tubing, which involves sliding down a track on a large rubber ring. A range of more 'extreme' snow sports are also available for those in need of a even greater adrenaline rush.
