Avoid this tea experience if you dont want to be disappointed - No staff to look after you when you get to the hotel. I took my wife for her birthday and it was the very worst experience - order was taken and tea delivered but no cups until I went to find staff. Cups delivered but no cutlery, had to go to another table to get the cutlery. The staff delivering tea tray nearly dropped some of the items and then could not explain what was in the sandwiches. Bread not fresh. Written letter of complaint to the hotel but no reply. Groupon should be responsible for these bad experiences.

I am very happy to have chosen the Copthorne Tara hotel for high tea as a surprise for my friend getting married! It was a 5 minute walk from High St Kensington and very easy to get too. The hotel had different sections so was quite confusing as there was no formal reception for the high tea, but once we figured it out we were seated. The staff were lovely and provided halal options. The sandwiches tasted very fresh and the presentation of all the items were beautiful.

There where no staff when arrived so i had to go to the hotel front desk then had to wait 10mins before someone arrived to seat us. Champagne glasses where dirty. The room wasn’t clean. Avoid at all costs!

The most awful place.
Upon arriving the reception desk staff were extremely rude, did not know where the afternoon tea was located, after waiting 10 minutes, was told were to go.
Waiting for 15 more minutes no come to service us, therefore had to go back to reception. Empty plates and food all over the place.
The area was busy, not with afternoon tea, but loads of people boarding coaches, therefore not peaceful and relaxing at all.
The tea was cold, the sandwiches stale, the scones stale, the cakes, very very poor quality.
I have been to over 10 afternoon teas in the past, and this is worst experience ever. Do not go.
No atmosphere, no music playing. Unfortunate experience. crap food

Lovely young lady served us but cups was stained one had a large chip in it no tea spoons bland sandwiches & cakes scones was lovely though asked for sweetener but had a bowl of brown sugar bought out
