This was my fourth visit to this impressive restaurant, having enjoyed two different tasting menus in the last year. There is always a warm welcome here and the lovely dining room boasts a wraparound terrace offering panoramic views over the city.
The industrious kitchen at Quartier delivers superb quality food, a magnificent variety of perfectly cooked and beautifully presented dishes. Most of these courses are also on the a la carte menu, so it is a great way to sample them first. The menu is changed maybe four times a year, so there are always going to be alternative choices available.
The seven courses are perfectly sized for tasting, the amounts are just right. The courses include an amazing soup, one fish and two meat courses, both with a great fusion of flavours, a palate cleansing snowy raspberry granita, followed by a cheeseboard and tangy desert. Everything was mouth-watering and fabulous, I really can’t praise this restaurant enough.
Delivering multi courses, requires perfect timing and the charming and attentive staff, despite their youthful appearance, are extremely professional and provide first class service. Daniel, the Head Chef with inspiration and passion, along with his excellent brigade, are creating some of the finest food available in our great City. This is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever visited.
This was my third visit to this impressive restaurant, having already sampled a sumptuous tasting menu, on two occasions, last year. I had high expectations and was not disappointed. The restaurant is accessed by a lift within a private courtyard where you are swiftly elevated to the cosy reception area. After a warm welcome you are seated in the dining room, which boasts a wraparound terrace offering panoramic views over the city. Above the restaurant is a stylish private Members Club, which I was fortunate to visit last year. This ‘hidden gem’ is a great place to escape from the bustle of the city, but can also be used for networking and small business meetings.
The industrious kitchen at Quartier delivers superb quality food, a magnificent variety of perfectly cooked and beautifully presented dishes. The inviting and innovative combinations are unusual and colourful. Even the bread basket needs mentioning, as it offered an unrivalled Focaccia al rosmarino, with an exceptionally flavoursome and crisp casing.
The seven courses are perfectly sized for tasting, the amounts are just right and I admit to a discerning but rather healthy appetite! The courses include a soup, one fish and two meat, a palate cleansing snowy raspberry granita, followed by a cheeseboard and tangy desert. There is also a vegetarian option. Everything was mouth-watering and fabulous, I really can’t praise it enough.
On top of that, multi courses, require perfect timing and the attentive and charming staff, despite their youthful appearance, were extremely professional and provided first class service. Not a glass was left empty. So ‘Cheers’ to Quartier, I’ll soon be back, as this memorable establishment is just far too good to ignore.
