This was really great experience for me and my friend. We came in the middle of the week, so the place was not full. The spa is a very pleasant, clean environment. There is a large pool, a steam room and a very agreeable sauna which was not excessively hot. For me, the best part of the day was an amazing 55min full body massage. My friend enjoyed it very much too. The afternoon tea with bubbly was a lovely ending to the superb day. The food was nice, fresh, the scones were truly perfect. Very nice desserts. I will try to come back again.

Dreadful place, avoid avoid avoid. Cannot imagine why its had good reviews recently. Staff couldnt speak english. On arrival, was shown where to go, changed. Pool is nice, shame about the hip hop music, something soothing would have been more fitting. Informed to head back to spa reception for therapists to collect us, was 10 minutes late. Room does not look the brochure. No products on show, asked what she was using, colleague giving husband a massage replied cleanser. Asked if anything was anti aging, what brand, nothing, clearly inexpeienced therapist, just stroked my face, bed hard, was cold, was given thin towel with feet hanging out in open, didnt understand anything I said, asked how long she had worked there, reply was 'yes I am15 years younger than you'. All very basic and had paid for 45 minute treatments, I had my garmin watch on so I could check my heart rate, treatments lasted 32 minutes. Afternoon tea followed, sandwiches all tased the same, scones were delicious, cakes meh, I ended up with food poisoning either from veggie sandwiches or the little cakes of which i had two, must say didnt taste greta. Verified by gp, week off work and hotel and spa never responded. Avoid this place like the plague and spend your money elsewhere!

Absolute waste of time and effort. Took 3 days of calls including messages at front desk to get through and they did not call back at any time. I tried to book and the staff incorrectly redeemed my voucher. I got no spa service, lost my money through their error, after 2 weeks of chasing esprit have not replied...just don't waste your time as they have no regard for when they make a mistake even though I am an ihg member of 10 years. Never got the spa day I paid for ,,,horrid experience all round.

me and my mum had brought a groupon voucher to enjoy a day out. the overall spa facilities were good. however we both had a hot stone massage and it was honestly shocking! the lady we had didn’t know to much english so it was hard to communicate but it was the worst massage i have ever had. the lights were so bright and she didn’t no how to turn them down, there was no music so i heard the conversations of the people next door, she was wearing heels so i heard her walking around the bed, she had absolutely no routine to the massage. she wouldn’t do the same thing on both sides of your body so it left you unbalanced. she also didn’t leave the room to let you get changed and there was no towel over the top, so i was just laying there. i was uncomfortable and didn’t not enjoy it neither did my mum. when i spoke to reception she said the lady had been there for ages. i also work for a spa elsewhere and this unprofessionalism would not be tolerated at all. if you go there make sure you don’t get the brazilian lady for a massage!!!

Pleasant experience, restaurant provided excellent service and food, swimming pool is a good size, warm water, was clean during our visit with plenty of clean towels, robes. Massage experience (back and neck) was a different experience for two of us as male masseuse was excellent, professional and pleasant in comparison to massage by female masseuse, who wasn’t really massaging, more like kneading in my opinion.

Lunch is always great at this venue but the spa staff (particularly on reception) are so surly and miserable, I probably won't return. Not sure if it's because we are going with a discount voucher, but they really need some customer service training.

Tea was nice but the rest of it was absolutely bloody awful. My friend and I had the poorest massages, we kept asking for harder but they were too namby pamby. My massuse didn't even give me a full body massage, just my back, calves and tummy area! The pool was too busy, not enough areas to sit so we just went home, didn't stay longer to fully enjoy an experience.
