Debuting in 2013, From Here to Eternity is a musical set in Pearl Harbour, 1941. The story follows the lives of two soldiers of G Company as the war approaches. As Private Prewitt falls for escort club girl Lorene, his platoon sergeant, Warden, embarks on a dangerous affair with his commanding officer’s wife, Karen, putting both men on a course they cannot control. The show, based on a novel by James Jones, is directed by Tamara Harvey, with music by Stuart Brayson and lyrics by Tim Rice.
From Here to Eternity was given 4/5 by The Telegraph, giving praise to its retro-style score and atmospheric set design. The Independent picked out Ryan Sampson's individual performance as Maggio, calling it excellent.
