Beginning at 10am or 1.30pm, riders over the age of four can start by learning about their horse in a one-hour introductory lesson. Once familiar with their steeds, individuals or duos can get in the saddle and head out to the surrounding countryside for a further hour of trekking.The route can take riders through heather-covered mountain tops and past natural scenery including waterfalls, forests and reservoirs, as well as the wildlife inhabiting the area.

Established in 1957, Grange Trekking provides a range of equestrian activities, allowing riders to explore the Welsh surrounds on horseback. Riding lessons for all abilities and trekking adventures are available. The Victorian farm on which the centre is situated has a guesthouse equipped with a sitting room and log fire, central heating and rooms with en-suite showers. Country-style home cooked meals are also available.
