Groupon Asks

Groupon finds out about the crowns and veneers implanted at Dent1st.

What’s the difference between a crown and a veneer?
Both crowns and veneers are used to restore the function and appearance of damaged teeth. However, crowns are used to entirely cover a tooth while veneers are simply placed over the front of a tooth.

What happens at the session?
First, a consultation will be performed including X-rays if necessary. In the case of crowns, the dentist will then numb and reshape the tooth, before taking an impression and fitting a temporary crown. Clients will later return to have the permanent crown fitted.

And Veneers?
Veneers require a similar but less comprehensive process, with the dentist removing only a thin layer of the tooth’s outer enamel.
