Groupon looks into the mole screening and mapping procedure at Liverpool Skin Clinic.
What is mole screening and mapping?
Also known as melanoma screening, this procedure aims to identify all the moles on a person's body, and includes a detailed examination of any that look out of the ordinary. The mole mapping session uses specialist equipment to capture images of the moles and their locations on the body, which can be stored for future comparisons.
What happens at sessions?
Following a consultation, the screening session uses a hand-held scanner to examine and monitor the health of areas underneath the surface of moles. For those opting for a mole mapping session, an in-depth analysis of lesions will be performed using a high resolution camera. If clients are unsuitable for treatment, a full refund will be provided.
What happens after treatment?
The mole evaluations are compiled into a written report and any further action necessary is recommended by the practitioner.
