Great serving staff a generous afternoon tea

Definitely our last visit here on a Groupon Deal as I'm afraid the service was nothing more than shocking. Distinct lack of engagement or any real urgency from any of the staff. After 15 minutes I had to flag down a member of staff to place a drinks order which by some of the other couples that were seated after us was record speed based on their waiting which I wouldn't have tolerated. Starters were fine so no issue with that at all and tasted good - 1 x Onion Soup and 1 x Goats Cheese and Beetroot. For the mains we both had Steaks with one being ok but the second I'm afraid was a very poor cut of meat and had I would say 30% fat which was inedible. We had also ordered Spinach with the main which didn't come out at the time and had to chase which finally arrived some 4 to 5 minutes later with no apology! As well as the overall poor service and not satisfactory mains when the bill came although it had captured that it was a Groupon Deal it still also added for one of the starters at £8.95 which we nearly missed. This was explained to the waitress who obviously deducted it to give the correct amount due but again no apology. I appreciate we were on a Groupon and not paying full whack from the menu but the experience is one that should lend itself to encourage visitors to return again in the future when unfortunately this has had the opposite effect which is being experienced more and more through various reviews. The issues I would say are not the number of staff on duty but more so that they are all milling around and chatting without really knowing what to do which should be down to the management to sort. Need to up the game.......

It was an awful experience. I got the voucher to celebrate the birthday of a friend and my sister’s first time in Birmingham. I booked in advance we were promptly sited but none approached us during the next 30 mins. We asked for water thinking that our afternoon tea was coming and they brought us a bottle of water without glasses we had to call the waiter again to request glasses. 10 mins later a different waitress approached us asking if we wanted to order. We were so confused and explained that we have booked an afternoon tea. One of the hostess approached us to apologise but the things did not improve. It took another 10 mins to get the tea, and the pastries. The food was good but they didn’t bring us tea cups we had to ask for them, they didn’t bring spoons or sugar. At that point my afternoon was ruined and not even the good food or the view would fix the awful experience. I will strongly discourage to anyone to buy this deal.

Had a lovely time. Food wasn’t exceptional but was good and plentiful. Prosecco tasty and scones very light. Worth giving a go. Service good and friendly.

the service was slow, the steak had to sent back as it was too tough to eat, a second steak was sent out, not satisfied. I would not go to this restraunt again or sugest it to friends

Great food and drinks, was busy when attended so staff were very busy, will be attended and purchasing voucher again

The restaurant is romantic and apart from that the food wasn’t impressive at all, maybe order from different menu will get served different quality food! The voucher food menu tasteless and also I don’t like the idea of window seat will have to pay £10 per person. I won’t recommend this place for those reasons!
