Excellent - enthusiatic and knowledgeable guides and a fascinating insight into our industrial past Tour ended up been over 2 hours long!

Very Interesting and informative tour and great to see the pottery being made first hand by real people in a truly traditional factory. Excellent service also in the lovely cafe serving the inclusive refreshments. Well recommended.

Booking required 48 hours in advance, please call 01782 499766; provide Groupon code. 24-hour cancellation policy. Must be 8 or older. Under 18s must accompanied by an adult. Please note: as this is a working factory, noise be may a concern for some; the tour may not be suitable for customers with limited mobility, as access to the factory is via cobbled walkways, there are four sizeable staircases and several smaller steps, some of which are narrow and steep, and there is no seating on the way around. Due to the age of the building, there are some small, potential trip hazards. Access to some areas of the factory tours for those with mobility needs is possible with alternative tours available. Please contact merchant in advance to discuss. Tours start at 11am and 1.45pm Mon-Thuu, and 10.30am Fri. Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour starts to avoid disappointment. Excludes bank holidays. Valid for option purchased only.

About Middleport Pottery

Established in 1888 by Burgess and Leigh, Middleport Pottery is still in operation, manufacturing the famous Burleigh pottery, which took its name from the factory's owners. The building itself is Grade II-listed, and after extensive renovations has become a centre for creative businesses.
