Health measures relating to Covid-19

All our partners (hotels, transfers, activities, etc.) are committed to complying with the health and safety measures relating to the Covid-19 crisis. Please note that measures differ from country to country and may be subject to change according to government directives. Certain services may be unavailable as a result of these measures.

  • To protect the health and safety of guests and staff, the following hygiene measures have been put in place:

  • A negative PCR Covid test result, obtained less than 72 hours before arrival, is required to enter the island.
  • Please check official websites regularly to ensure that entry conditions have not changed.

  • Hotel:
  • It will not be possible to move between different hotels in the Maldives.
  • Masks must be worn and social distancing rules must be observed
  • A PCR Covid test may be carried out on arrival at the airport
  • Anyone showing symptoms will be isolated and quarantined until the results of a PCR Covid test can be obtained
  • You will be asked to install the "Trace Ekee" app on arrival
  • Hand sanitiser will be provided in the hotel's public spaces
  • There will be enhanced disinfection of all surfaces
  • Arrivals & Departures:
  • Temperatures will be taken on arrival
  • All guests must complete a questionnaire before leaving the complex
  • The resort doctor can provide PCR Covid tests for guests who have to be tested before returning to their home country. Results will be available within 48 hours and guests will have to pay a fee of $112 per test

  • There will be enhanced disinfection measures for the restaurants and a minimum distance of one metre between each table will be respected
  • Guests will have to disinfect their hands with hand sanitiser before entering the restaurant

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired.
