One of the most unique forms of two-wheeled transport can be enjoyed with an off-road Segway NI tour. Riders will explore a number of lakeside cross-country courses from the vantage point of their very own Segway. The experience will begin with a brief instruction on controls, allowing visitors to become familiar with the machine. A timed race will bring a friendly competitive element to the session with penalty seconds added for each course marker disturbed, and the results shared for the ultimate bragging rights.

Groupon Asks Segway NI's owner Wesley Jameson about riding techniques, the thrill of off-roading, and Segway mind powers.
G: How do you make a Segway 'go'?
"Lean your bodyweight forwards and it moves forwards - the more pressure you apply the faster it will go. To slow down or reverse, simple apply pressure to your heels."
G: How fast do people get to go on the Segways?
"At the start you will be capped at 6mph - this is called 'turtle mode' and allows you to become comfortable with the Segway. Once you're ready we can take the limiter off and you can zoom about at 13mph - trust me its feels a lot faster!"
G: What does the off-road experience consist of?
"It will start with two or three courses to get you ready for the off-road session at the end. Once you're done with these courses you can go off into the wild! You can expect to travel through narrow and uneven paths, trees, mud, bridges, hills, and puddles. We also have two paths for beginner and more advanced users."
G: What is your favourite thing about riding a Segway?
"The fact you simply glide and it's like your mind is controlling where you are going. It's such a relaxing and fun experience; I still love the feeling of using a Segway and I can't see a day when I don't love going full speed along an open path."
