What happens at Snow Factor?
The indoor activity centre is open year-round and features a huge slope for skiing, snowboarding and sledging. Having recently had a £1million revamp, the centre now enjoys improved slope lighting, a new snow blower, as well as a giant ice wall.
What are the slopes like?
Snow Factor boasts a main slope measuring 200m by 50m, along with a nursery slope next door. Over 1500 tonnes of real snow are made every year, keeping surfaces smooth and ready for action. In addition, a snow patrol is always on duty to give advice and help people find their way.
And the ice wall?
The indoor ice wall is suitable for climbers of all levels of experience, featuring a mix of walls that are gently angled, 90 degree angled and overhanging, along with gullies and tricky corners.
Where can people eat?
At Bar Varia. This bar and restaurant is designed with an après ski feel in mind, and serves a range of hot meals, paninis, European beers and other drinks.
