I paid for acupuncture, cupping, and a massage.
I was not told until after my massage and the end of the treatment that because I had a male doctor, I would not have skin-to-skin contact during my massage. Being massaged with a towel over you takes away the sensation. This made the massage awkward, not at all relaxing and very disappointing.
I mentioned this during the massage and at the end of my treatment at the front desk.
They told me that because I had a male doctor, they could not have skin-to-skin contact for safety reasons. However, I was not informed of this prior to my appointment.
The next day I called to say I was disappointed and to ask if I could come back to receive a massage from a female masseuse to complete the full treatment I paid for.
The representatives I spoke with were outrageously rude to me. They yelled over the phone despite me not raising my voice saying they:
"didn't care if it was my birthday"
"you're trash people"
and continuously talked over me and interrupted as I tried to express why I felt I didn't get the experience I paid for.
I waited quietly as they ranted. They did not offer me the same respect and continued to yell over me as I tried to speak.
I will not be going back to Thai Spa after this extremely poor and disrespectful treatment.
Working in customer service, especially at a spa where you are dealing with people's bodies in sensitive ways, I think it's important to explain the procedures and to make sure everyone is comfortable. I just wanted to have a relaxing experience for my birthday.
This disrespect was uncalled for.
I would have given a 5* but was kept waiting for a while before being seen.
Very good once inside and treatment given just need to speak more to customer so you know what's going on.
Overall was very pleased and will be going back again soon.
The good: managed to book my massage! And the massage wasn’t bad!
The bad: the ‘doctor’ that does the acupuncture and cupping didn’t show no care or specific attention to my needs.
The Ugly: Lady at the front desk showed no professionalism and treated my ‘Groupon’ voucher as a freebie! Firstly, the telephone no. they give you to call to make a reservation was very difficult to get through to! When I finally got through, they only gave me a date that was over a month away once they knew I had a Groupon purchase! I went in there to book a more suitable time and date! Finally, I over heard the lady at the desk that I was only to be given a 15 minute massage! I knew this was part of the package, but the manner she said it was very uptight! I couldn’t relax properly knowing that the massage was all about time and money more than me feeling relaxed and comfortable!
It’s a shame that I was given such poor service, especially being a first time customer! Had, I received the opposite, I would of definitely considered coming back and paying the full price!!
Not happy with the work, the workers seemed unprofessional as now I have a lot of pain on my body from the massage, it’s been weeks and still no change to my back from the massage. Would not recommend anyone to go.
