Thought this was going to be a lovely treat for a friend when booking as the picture inspires you to think of a traditional afternoon tea in a historical building/venue.
The gardens were enjoyable to explore but the afternoon tea was very poor!
Although prior notice had been given for 1vegetarian with no onion, we were both given vegetarian sandwiches, including onion. The cakes were very dry and we were given a cup of tea.
It felt like we're were sitting in a canteen so we had a very disappointing afternoon. Good job we could laugh about it but obviously not value for money!

Do not waste your money you have been warned! Absolutely disgusting rip off which shouldn’t be still for sale on Groupon. Please read the other reviews on here & also go on trip adviser & search for it if you need more proof! £45 for stale sandwiches & dry cheap cake & barely enough tea to wet your tongue! But don’t worry if you complain groupon give you £9 back so if fact you only throw away £36. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!

Very disappointed with this afternoon tea would never book again. We were advised that there is not much food left so we will have to eat whatever is available, we were fobbed off with a sandwich which was a poor condition. The cakes and scones were very tasteless and the cream was poor quality I could get better at Tesco. For a Valentines gift for my partner we left very disappointed and paid additional £40 for a meal elsewhere

No problem booking but quality of cakes was poor, cakes tasted stale and the cream was tasteless and not very appealing

About The Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Designed as a Victorian public park, The Birmingham Botanical Gardens boast four glasshouses. The displays range from exotic tropical and subtropical flora to Mediterranean and arid plants. There is also an on-site playground, a tearoom and a garden gift shop.
