Is the treatment semi-permanent?
Epilation treatments made with the right system and doses are semi-permanent. Diseases leading to hormonal disturbances, such as drugs that trigger hair growth, can cause hair to regrow. Before starting treatment, clients should be investigated for any medical issues that would jeopardize the treatment. Clients with menstrual irregularities should be guided to a physician in order to perform the necessary examinations.
Who should not have the treatment?
Pregnant women and breastfeeding. Photo epilation has not been proven to be any harm, but it is not advisable to do photo-epilation during pregnancy. If the recipient encounters a pregnancy during the course of sessions, the process is interrupted and the services are postponed until after birth. If the Photo epilation is not recommended for
people under 16 years of age because the adolescence process continues even though there is no harm. If the hair formation is complete (all body regions have become hairs and have entered the menstruation period), those in this age can be processed.
People with Cardiac pacemakers, or epilepsy should not be considered for photo epilation. The light emitted during the session, can trigger a possible epileptic episode. In patients with cardiac palsy, sensitivity to electromagnetics and electronic devices is a concern, which can lead to heart rhythm disturbances.
People with Vitiligo should not be treated with photo epilation. The disease occurs when the underlying melanocytes (the cell that produces the melanin) are damaged. Since the procedure is also melanin-based, epilation services should not be provided to prevent the disease from progressing.
