The largest surviving medieval city gate in the UK was built in a turbulent time, we will discover the multiple methods of attack and defence that made this the most innovative tower of its time. Plus, a story worthy of its very own short film!

Passing by this fantastic modern structure, we will learn about the eventful life of Christopher Marlowe and the influence of the written word on the city of Canterbury.
