Sitting on a cliff edge on the North Berwick coast, Tantallon castle was built in the mid 14th century, and it was once the formidable fortress of the Red Douglas Clan. Tantallon Castle was an incredible fortress until it it was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell's army in the 17th century and subsequently abandoned. Similarly to Rosslyn Chapel, Tantallon Castle is also a popular filming location, having been featured in 'Under the Skin', starring Scarlett Johansson, and the Bollywood cult classic, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', starring Shah Rukh Khan.
