On leaving Invergordon passing the Dalmore Distilery our first stop is to the Town of Alness... this town has won an amazing amount of awards for both Scotland and Britain in Bloom on a number of occasions over many years.

Stop At: Black Rock Gorge, Evanton Scotland

This is a spectacular deep rock gorge which was used for filming in the original series of Harry Potter films. Did Lady Balconie really disappear into the gorge? visit with the Gorge with George to hear the full story.

Originaly known as 'the Queens view' this amazing viewpoint was where the entrepreneur Andrew Carnegie (American Steel magnate) would bring his very rich friends and guests to take the very best pictures of the Scottish Highlands... it then became know as 'Millionaires Viewpoint'.

We will stop en route to get some pictures of Carbisdale Castle.... known localy as the Castle of Spite, this is a fascinating story which only a local like George can tell.

Wow, what an amazing site to see... Salmon jumping UP RIVER over the rocks attempting get back to their birthplace so they can spawn... George will take you to the best viewpoint on the river.

Stop At: Dunrobin Castle and Gardens, Golspie KW10 6SF Scotland

Dunrobin Castle is the most northerly of Scotland's great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms. Dunrobin Castle is also one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland.
George will do his best to make sure you arrive in time for the world renowned Falconry display within the Castle grounds.
The Castle was used as a naval hospital during the First World War and as a boys’ boarding school from 1965 to 1972. This is a must see Castle where Queen Victoria stayed.

Stop At: Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve, Golspie IV25 3JD Scotland

The most visible mammals at Loch Fleet are seals: common seals can be seen from the public road at Skelbo year round, and grey seals visit during the winter months. Otter and pipistrelle bats are also found here, along with other typical Scottish land mammals such as roe deer, fox, pine marten, and weasel. Red squirrels and Scottish wildcats have been recorded in the area,

Stop At: Dornoch Cathedral, High Street, Dornoch IV25 3SH Scotland

The name 'Dornoch' is derived from the Gaelic for 'pebbly place', suggesting that the area contained pebbles the size of a fist (dorn) which could therefore be used as weapons.[4] Dornoch has the thirteenth-century Dornoch Cathedral, the Old Town Jail, and the previous Bishop's Palace which is now the well-known hotel, Dornoch Castle and a notable golf course, the Royal Dornoch Golf Club, named the 5th best golf course outside the United States.

It is also notable as the last place a witch was burnt in Scotland. Her name was reported as Janet Horne; she was tried and condemned to death in 1727. There is a stone, the Witch's Stone, commemorating her death, inscribed with the year 1722
