What You'll Get

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Duff House, Banff AB45 3SX Scotland

On this tour we visit the beautiful Duff House in the coastal town of Banff. A magnificent early Georgian mansion, designed by William Adam for the Earl of Fife. It is considered to be an Adam masterpiece and is one of the most important buildings in the North. Construction began on the 11th June 1735 and the building was finished five years later, although it took over 100 years to complete the interior. You will have time to explore the building and enjoy lunch in the tearooms located in the old kitchens.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: North Coast 500, Inverness Scotland

We take part of the North Coast 500 route between Banff and Fraserburgh to enjoy the coastline and admire the determination of some villagers to live in some of the remote coastal towns.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Museum Of Scottish Lighthouses, Stevenson Rd, Fraserburgh AB43 9DU, UK

We will next visit the Scottish Lighthouses Museum and tour Kinnaird lighthouse. This is not just any lighthouse, but Scotland’s first. In 1787, Kinnaird Head Lighthouse started off life as a giant lamp positioned on the roof of the castle. When structural problems began to appear, Robert Stevenson engineered a foundation, walls and a spiral staircase through the heart of the castle, completing construction in 1824. He even preserved the original castle structure – this has to be seen to be believed!

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
