Join our time travelling adventure as we leave Glasgow and travel back in time. Our journey takes us past Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument on route to Doune Castle.

Stop At: Doune Castle, Castle Hill, Doune, Stirling FK16 6EA Scotland

Visit Doune Castle, or as our Outlander fans, you will know it better as Castle Leoch. This powerful building gives you a glimpse into the living conditions of a Scottish Earl in the 14th century. As a little bonus, this castle was used as a filming location for Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Stop At: Falkland, Falkland, Fife, Scotland

When we arrive in 1940’s Inverness, Falkland is the small town used as a substitute for Inverness in the first scenes of the show. See if you can find Mrs. Baird’s Guesthouse or the Bruce Fountain (don’t worry we will show you).

Stop At: Culross Palace, West Green, Culross KY12 8JH Scotland

This virtually-unchanged 16th-century village overlooks the sea and is better known as the fictional town of Cranesmuir. Here you will have time to find Claire’s herb garden, explore the palace, or wander around the ancient cobbled streets as you think about what life would have been like 400 years ago.

Stop At: Midhope Castle, Near Abercorn, South Queensferry, Edinburgh EH52 6QZ Scotland

Midhope Castle is a highlight of the day. We are sorry but unfortunately visitors are unable to go inside this castle, but known as Lallybroch this is the lovely home of Jamie’s is still a must have photo opportunity for any fan of the show.

Stop At: Blackness Castle, Blackness, Linlithgow EH49 7NH Scotland

This really is one impressive castle, known as the ‘ship that never sailed’ if you look at right it resembles a giant stone boat. Here you will be able explore the fictional headquarters of Jack Randall. Take time to walk along the ramparts and admire the mighty castle.

Stop At: Linlithgow Palace, 9 Kirkgate Sulisker, Boghall, Linlithgow EH49 7AL Scotland

Take time to enjoy beautiful views to the Forth bridges, or have a picnic by the Loch. Take the opportunity to explore the ruins of Scotland’s Beloved Mary Queen of Scots’ birthplace.
