Day 1: Travel to Mull

Stop At: Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Scotland
We drive along the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. There will be a stop at Luss where you can walk to the waters edge for photographs

Stop At: Inveraray, Inveraray, Argyll and Bute, Scotland
Next stop of the day is in the charming white washed town of Inveraray. The castle is home to the Clan Campbell.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Oban, Oban, Argyll and Bute, Scotland
There will be time in Oban for lunch and for the whisky lovers time to visit the small Oban Distillery. Then we board the ferry to Mull and our home for the next 2 nights.

Day 2: Exploring Iona

Stop At: Isle of Iona, Isle of Iona, The Hebrides, Scotland
We drive to the small ferry stop of Fionnphort to board the foot passenger ferry to Iona. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity this historic island offers travellers. Today is all about Mull and Iona.

Day 3: Back to the mainland

Pass By: Ardgour, Ardgour, Lochaber, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
A short ferry crossing brings us to the Ardgour Peninsula, one of the more remote areas in Scotland. Look out for sea eagles durign the crossing.

Stop At: Glen Coe, Scotland
A short detour bring us to Glen Coe - where we will meet up with other fellow travellers to continue the tour. Your driver/guide will recount the tales of the Madonalds and the Campbells before he bids you farewell and you meet your new driver/guide.

Pass By: Ben Nevis, Fort William Scotland
Drive past Ben Nevis over shadowing Fort William. It is the highest mountain in Britain

Stop At: Eilean Donan Castle, Kyle of Lochalsh IV40 8DX Scotland
Before we arive on Skye a final pause at Eilean Donan Castle. the castle has featured in films such as Highlander and the World is Not Enough.

Day 4: Exploring Skye

Pass By: Isle of Skye, Isle of Skye, The Hebrides, Scotland
Today is a full day on the island. Your driver will ensure that you see as many of the site as possible. Kilt Rock, Old Man of Storr, Cuillin Mountains.

Stop At: Portree, Portree, Isle of Skye, The Hebrides, Scotland
Our lunch stop will be in the town of Portree. There will be time to enjoy this little town and perhaps traditional fish and chips by the harbour.

Day 5: Monster hunting

Stop At: Urquhart Castle, A82 Road, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XJ Scotland
Explore the ruins of the castle perched overlooking Loch Ness
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Jacobite Cruises, Glenurquhart Rd, Inverness IV3 5TD, UK
A cruiser awaits to take you on a sail on the loch itself. Watch out for Nessie !!
Duration: 1 hour

We arrive in Inverness where you say goodbye to some of your fellow passenger and driver/guide. After arriving at your accommodation the rest of the day is free to explore on your own.

Day 6: A new adventure awaits

Pass By: Port of Gills Bay, KW1, UK
As we meet up with new companions we head north to the ferry for Orkney.

Stop At: The Italian Chapel, Lamb Holm, St. Mary's KW17 2RT Scotland
The first visit on Orkney is the stunning Italian Chapel. The chapel was built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. The fresco are simply astounding.
Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Churchill Barriers, Scotland
We will also see the famous Churchill Barrier which were constructed to defend the British fleet from submariners

Day 7: Orkney

Stop At: Maeshowe, Ireland Rd, Stenness KW16 3LB Scotland
Step back in time to prehistory and the chambered cairn of Maeshowe,built some 5000 years ago, The cairn is the finest example of this design in Europe.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Skara Brae B9056, Stromness KW16 3LR Scotland
The Neolithinc age awaits at Skara Brae. Discover how they lived - you can still clearly see the room formations, beds and cooking areas.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ring of Brodgar, B9055 You do not need to book to get into this attraction. There is free access at all times., Stromness Scotland
Wander round the standing stones and marvel at the formation. The stone ring was built in a true circle, almost 104 metres wide. The Scottish geologist Hugh Miller, visiting in 1846, wrote that the stones ‘look like an assemblage of ancient druids, mysteriously stern and invincibly silent and shaggy’.

Stop At: Standing Stones of Stenness, Stenness Scotland
Step back in time over 5000 years at what may be the earliest henge monument in the British Isles. The enormous Stones of Stenness are all that remains of a great stone circle on an ancient ceremonial site.

The Stones of Stenness today consist of four upright stones up to 6m in height in a circle that originally held 12 stones. The focus of the interior was a large hearth. The stones were encircled by a large ditch and bank, the form of which has been lost over time by ploughing.

Day 8: Orkney to Inverness

Pass By: St. Margaret's Hope, St. Margaret's Hope, South Ronaldsay, Orkney Islands, Scotland
Back onto the ferry to the mainland.

Stop At: Dunrobin Castle and Gardens, Golspie KW10 6SF Scotland
Enjoy a stop at Dunrobin Castle, home to the Dukes of Sutherland. There will be time to visit the castle and gardens and perhaps watch a falconry display.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Day 9: Inverness to Edinburgh

Stop At: Culloden Moor, Culloden Moor, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Explore the battlefield, scene of the last battle on British soil in 1746 when the Jacobite troops were defeated by Government forces.

Stop At: Pitlochry, Pitlochry, Perth and Kinross, Scotland
Final stop of the day in Pitlochry, geographical centre of Scotland. Time for last minute souvenir shopping.
