Upon arrival at the island, you will proceed to the Needles Park, a truly natural area with its iconic lighthouse. The Needles are a series of three distinct limestone stacks that rise off the sea from the west end of the island near the Alum Bay. Since 1859, at the West side of the formation, there has been a lighthouse designed by Scottish civil engineer James Walker and is an extraordinary attraction. You will be able to take a chairlift and enjoy the amazing view of the cliffs and beaches on the shore of Needles. (Please ask for a winter time table or operation).

The world-renowned Alum Bay Glass shop offers handmade, unique British glass articles directly from the Isle of Wight. On the Isle of Wight, the glassmakers of Alum Bay continue this traditional craft, forging shining iridescent patterns, light shades, daring contrasts and delicate pastels from a range of materials such as silver and gold.
