Important Information: The Tides The crossing to Holy Island is governed by the North Sea tides. Because your safety is our priority, the order of our stops may be swapped (visiting the castle before the island) to ensure we cross the causeway at the safest time. In rare instances where the tide remains high all day and the island is inaccessible, we will instead include extra scenic stops and photo opportunities along the dramatic Northumberland coast to ensure you still have a full day of discovery.
