What You'll Get

Words cannot describe what it’s like being part of London’s East End, you simply have to experience it for yourself. It’s a place where the locals have a strong sense of community and an optimistic vibe. Now, you will discover this amazing character like a local, with a local that utterly adores this part of town.

We’ll start with the Whitechapel Gallery: London’s first- ever publicly funded art gallery, famous for its offbeat, Avant Garde exhibitions. After the gallery, it’s off to a world famous street market, where thousands of Londoners shop for bargains, ranging from work-wear clothes to the latest accessories in urban fashion. You’ll love the friendly chatter between stallholders and shoppers, and you’ll get a genuine feel of what it’s like to live in this dynamic city. You’ll also enjoy plenty of street food and street performers.

We’ll pass the Ten Bells Pub where you can have a glass of ale later, just like Jack the Ripper did 100 years ago. Or, if the Christ Church is open, why not take five minutes inside this Baroque masterpiece.

After that, your host will show you what used to be a junkyard… but don’t worry, it’s been transformed into a magical “alternative art and performance space”, with plenty of urban art, street food and open air music. You’ll see how Londoners enjoy to party while appreciating contemporary art and music. A great place to mingle with the locals, taste their food, experience their music, and create magnificent memories.

A walk down Brick Lane reveals more of this cultural melting pot and what was once an area of poverty and slums, but has now been transformed into a lively neighborhood of open markets, exotic restaurants, and trendy bars. As a hub of London's Bangladeshi community, Brick Lane has always been famed for its many authentic curry restaurants – your host can advise which ones will best suit your desires.

This private tour of urban alternatives finishes off with an encounter of the Designated Graffiti Area featuring Banksy’s original “Guard Dog and His Master’s Voice”. Highly contemporary, highly urban, and uniquely London.

In just two hours, will have tasted East End’s vibrant and unique character, and created memories to last a lifetime.
