Groupon asks David Ritchie, director at World of Wings, about the birds and guests at the high-flying centre.
G: Do you have any favourite birds? "There are over 60 birds at the centre ranging from the tiniest Little Owl up to our huge African vulture. A third of the birds are rescue birds, so the most recent arrival tends to be the staff favourite."
G: How are the birds brought to the centre? "Birds come to be at Wings in one of three ways – some are from other centres, some are born at our centre, and the rest are rescued."G: What kind of visitors do you get? "We see people of all ages. Vistiors range from those with a great knowledge of birds to people who know absolutely nothing about birds but are keen to learn."
G: And finally, what is your favourite part of working at the centre? "My favourite part is the wonderful feedback from the visitors. It's such an amazing and unique experience which leaves people really impressed."
