The Deal
Speed demons can rev up for an indoor karting challenge (usually £48) covering up to 50 laps on tracks in Newcastle, Birmingham and Loughborough. Drivers should arrive at least 30 minutes before the race for a safety briefing, and to get kitted out in helmet, suit and gloves, plus a balaclava for a £2 surcharge. Drivers can then hit the course to compete with up to nine other karts, speeding down 100m straights, taking on corners and navigating hairpin bends. Participants will have half an hour to complete all laps.

The Merchant
F1K’s karting centres send 200cc machines whizzing around courses all over the country, hitting top speeds of up to 40mph. Karts are available for both adults and kids, and tracks have an average whip-around time of 28 seconds. Seated in the viewing areas, spectators can watch on as the race is completed and the victor steps up to the winners’ podium. Corporate groups and stag and hen parties are also catered for, and sites benefit from free parking.

Must arrive 30 mins prior to session. Safety equipment provided. For hygiene reasons customers using the helmets are advised to provide own head coverings. £2 surcharge for balaclavas. The race will finish when the winner crosses the finish line on the 50th lap or when 30 minutes expires. Motorsport is not suitable for people with medical conditions such as heart problems, epilepsy or those that suffer blackouts, problems with their vision or any condition that may be affected by exertion.
