Foodies Festival

Canon Hill Park hosts a weekend of gastronomic delights as the Foodies Festival comes to town. The chefs’ theatre houses demonstrations and talks from seasoned experts. Pop-up restaurants serve regional food and drink as well as international cuisines, and a vintage tea tent holds daily dances. Fans of real ales and ciders can relax on a hay bale to discuss the beverages with an on-site expert. Brave visitors can stop by the chilli food market and perhaps enter a chilli eating challenge. Children’s workshops provide youngsters an entertaining introduction to cooking at the children’s cookery theatre. Equipped with VIP tickets (usually up to £38), visitors receive entry to the VIP lounge, a glass of bubbly on arrival, a goody bag and complimentary refreshments.
