About This Deal
The Deal
Participants can get their diving feet wet with a PADI open water referral course at Holyrood Secondary school. A precursor to the 'Open Water Diver' PADI course, this referral course covers theory and confined water sessions with one 6-hour classroom lesson and three 3-hour pool sessions. Pupils will learn the basic principles of scuba diving and experience what it's like to breathe underwater in the safety of a pool with instructors on hand.
The Merchant
Boasting the largest dive centre in Scotland, Aquatron has been running for over 40 years on the outskirts of Glasgow. Offering scuba gear for rental, equipment servicing, dive trips to Loch Long and Loch Fyne, as well as further afield in places such as St Abbs and the Red Sea, Aquatron offer scuba courses for beginners through to professionals.

Restrictions: One classroom/theory work taken at Aquatron, Sat 9.30am-4.30pm. Three pool sessions take place at Holyrood Secondary School, Mon & Wed 6.15pm-9.15pm. Must be 16 or older. Must bring own swimwear and towel. Must be able to swim at least 200m. You must be reasonably fit to participate and will be required to complete a medical disclaimer, five knowledge review sessions and statement of risk and liability before participating. Instructors reserve the right to refuse individuals for their own safety. There will be no refund offered should you not be able to participate due to medical grounds. This course is in aid of completing a PADI qualification, £150 supplement required to complete PADI open water course; discuss with Aquatron at time of booking. Aquatron cannot guarantee that members will pass the course.
