The Hotel

Deep in the heart of West Yorkshire within the village of Rishworth, The Malthouse was built in the early 18th century. With sweeping views across the Calder valley, the hotel welcomes guests year-round to enjoy the rural landscape. Rishworth is home to a small church and plenty of farms, and sits a 30-minute drive away from Huddersfield where sights include the Tolson Museum and the picturesque Beaumont Park. The Peak District National Park is also reachable within 30 minutes, where guests can partake in outdoor activities such as cycling, fishing and horse riding.

• Each of the five en suite rooms include complimentary toiletries, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Up to two children aged 10 or under can join two adults in the room for a £10 per child per night surcharge.

• The charm-filled restaurant, dating back to the 17th century, serves fresh produce seven days a week alongside a brimming wine list. Meals can be enjoyed indoors or outside on the landscaped patio area, and pairs will have a £10 credit to put towards an a la carte meal.

• Available for private hire, the on-site function room dates back to the 14th century. The room can be hired for a number of special occasions, including weddings.

• Up to two well-behaved dogs may also join pairs in the room for a £10 per dog per night surcharge.
