The Festival
Taking travellers to a world of adventure and Norse legends and myths, Jorvik Viking Festival is a deep-rooted celebration of the Viking heritage in York. Each year, the Vikings descend to the city to celebrate their ancestral arrival on the shores of the North Sea. Over 80 events take place throughout the festival and visitors will witness the battle drills and training routines of the mighty warriors, and enjoy the lectures, arts and crafts, guided tours and archaeological expert sessions.
