The Deal

Cocoa-enthusiasts will first settle down for a brief history lesson on the delectable sweet treat during this two or four-hour class. Participants will learn about the bean-to-bar process and handle some organic cocoa beans, and pick up tips on how to correctly taste chocolate with a range of samples available. Guests will watch a sweet-making demonstration before getting stuck in themselves, hand-piping and decorating a selection of desserts including chocolate lollipops, marbled chocolate shards, and chocolate ganache-based truffles.

Choose from the following options for a chocolate-making class:

• £24 for a two-hour class for one

• £45 for a four-hour class for one

• £46 for a two-hour class for two

• £88 for a four-hour class for two

The Merchant

The Chocolate Candy Emporium offers dessert-making classes in locations across the country, from Newcastle to Bristol. They last from two to four hours, and take students through the history of chocolate and its production. Lessons are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
