Groupon Asks Mike McFarlane, Finance Director at Wolfie's Bar, about favourite dishes and staying up late.

G: What kind of atmosphere does the bar have?

"The restaurant is spacious and airy with stripped floorboards, an informal dining setting and a dedicated children's play area with TV and play activities. We'll play whatever sounds our customers are in the mood to listen to; whether that's MTV-type chart hits, something a bit more laid back, or even BBC News if there's a story of interest being played out. Friday and Saturday evenings, after the restaurant has shut for the day, Wolfie's Sounds of the 80's and 90's are unleashed for anybody who fancies an after-dinner hour or two. We're licensed until 3am, and happy to stay up late if you are."

G: What drinks do you have on tap?

"We've tried to provide a broad and perhaps not-too-familiar range of cask ales, beers and lagers, plus an interesting and affordable wine selection. We spent a lot of time looking at and talking to different breweries before choosing Marston's as a trading partner, and we're pleased to offer (at present); Marston’s Pedigree; Banks’s Sunbeam and Wychwood Hobgoblin; as well as Krusovice and Revisionist Craft lagers; Stowford Press Cider; and Shipyard American Pale Ale on draught."

G: What are your best-selling dishes? Why?

"The best sellers at Wolfie's are our grill dishes, including lamb skewers served on a bed of couscous with smoked peppers and a tzatziki dressing, our chef’s South African-inspired Bantu Burger and locally-sourced rump or sirloin steak, all cooked to order.."

G: If you could only have one drink for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

"A very large gin and tonic goes down very well after a long day serving others."
