The Deal
West-African rhythms are drummed up in djembe circles at London African Drumming. The workshop lasts approximately two hours and are suited to beginners and improvers alike, which are led by a skillful West African drum facilitators who look to impart culture, expertise and enthusiasm for the drumto all participants. While music is clearly key, these circles are also seen by some as a therapeutic experience and a chance for self-expression and group bonding. The lessons are also accompanied by tea and biscuits for energy.
The Merchant
London African Drumming is a non-profit, open djembe drumming circle for beginners and improvers in the City of London, offering fun experiences whilst learning traditional west African rhythms. The school was founded by Susie Goode with the aim to promote community spirit, well being and positive healing through the transformational process of group rhythm.
