The Deal
Chocoholics need not be anonymous at the 5* London Hilton on Park Lane with this four course afternoon tea for two or four (usually £36 per person) with the option to include a glass of champagne each (£10 per person). A spread of open sandwiches including sweet-savoury honey roast ham, traditional cucumber and tenderly smoked salmon is served with a choice of specially blended teas such as The Hilton afternoon tea blend or Imperial Earl Grey with blue flowers. This is followed by a tiered stand with freshly made chocolate-chip, plain or raisin scones, cupcakes and miniature fancies on an edible gold leaf and chocolate plate. A changing assortment of pastries, inspired by world famous modern artists, can include a lemon cheesecake with a Van Gogh sunflower chocolate print or a geometric Piet Mondrian iced biscuit to finish the feast. As well as the miniature masterpieces themselves, guests will be encouraged to let their creative juices flow, with an orange marmalade ‘paint tube’ to decorate and transform freshly baked cupcakes and scones. In addition to this, from 17th to 22nd June, the restaurants theme will be transformed for guests into an Ascot Afternoon Tea while Wimbledon Afternoon Tea will be served from 23rd June till 7th July.
