About the tour
Chugging off from Victoria Coach Station, the restored 1950s double decker bus takes passengers past some of the Big Smoke’s most feted attractions, including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye. An expert guide is on board to provide informed commentary on the sights as they come into view, including the majestically domed St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London with its fascinatingly chequered history. The tour guide will take visitors to the Tower of London’s Traitors’ Gate, once the entrance for condemned criminals, before the merry band makes its way onto a boat for a cruise down the Thames. From the river, more sights are soaked in, including Shakespeare’s Globe, Cleopatra’s Needle, and London Bridge, and then sea-legs can be shaken off as the group rejoins the coach. Buckingham Palace is the next stop, where the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony can be observed, or photos can be snapped at the Horse Guards Parade if the ceremony isn’t taking place.
