- Recent facial surgery: treatment can only proceed once full recovery has been confirmed.
- Cosmetic injectables (e.g. Botox or similar): a minimum of 2 weeks must have passed since treatment; dermal fillers require a minimum of 4 weeks.
- Certain medications, including Roaccutane (must be at least 4 weeks since the last dose), and topical steroids may restrict treatment and will be assessed with caution.
