Mixed reviews. Booking process was odd and at one point I wasn't sure if we'd be conned once booked as the voucher was "redeemed" before we even went. Shame about the location. It use to be in like an American diner looking place, but now in a very dark, dingy extremely small box of a shop which had a strange smell. However, the burgers are beautiful! Lovely ingredients and brilliant choice of them. The cake we had was fine. Strange choice of cucumber and carrot at the top - think I'd just scrap this. We also had a drink each with our afternoon tea, which were made really decent/lovely tasting prosecco. You are charged a service charge and you need to pay for sides, but we thought this was very reasonably priced. The bloke who owns it is lovely. He warns you about himself before you go, I can see that he might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he was certainly ours.

Not worth it. The venue wasn’t what is in the pictures, we were sat in a very small place with few tables opened to the street. Everything was chaotic and the food was very disappointing. Tiny burgers, salad was like 4 tiny slices of carrots and cucumbers and basic shop bought artificial sugar glazed doughnuts or fairy cakes

I’m not one to write reviews but felt this experience was an absolute waste of money. I was really excited about this afternoon tea- the reviews online look great. Firstly I was surprised by the experience of booking - no one ever answered the phone so I resorted to texting the number on the website only to be ignored or to receive short responses in regards to availability. I finally managed to book being told they only had availability at 4pm on a particular date. I arrived that day-no guests were sat, there was no one leaving to indicate the restaurant had been busy but worse- there no one was visible to greet us. The whole place was dark and unwelcoming. The doors were nonexistent letting the smelling bin air (bins were literally outside the restaurant) into the restaurant. Given that this was supposed to be a treat, we did a u turn and went to eat elsewhere. There was no phone call to follow up from the restaurant as a potential ‘no show’. So although the voucher was redeemed as booking was made- I did not dare sit or eat there.
