Feel sad to be writing this as I’m not usually a complainer and I love talking about my normal 5 star experience using salons on Groupon! However, I went today and felt like I paid for an hour of being insulted! The salon had temporarily moved and it took several phone calls over the space of a week to get through. I eventually got a reply at 11pm via text to say call up the following day. I did this and got booked in. When I arrived, they were running late which is fine but throughout my time there, they had clearly overbooked and customers with colour in their hair were being made to sit in the waiting chairs so other customers could have their hair cut. It was a bit chaotic. Where to start.. my hairdresser I had told me I had a bad dandruff problem and was clearly using bad shampoo and conditioner. This was very embarrassing in front of a whole salon who could hear. She then said I have heat damage and I wasn’t looking after my hair. I said I use heat once a month max and she said I wasn’t using heat protect then. She then said I must use cheap shampoo with sulphate / silicone in as it hasn’t protected my colour well. The whole experience has genuinely got my self-esteem down and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s unfortunate as I love finding new salons and going back there for further sessions.
