Do not stay here unless it’s your only option. There was just one phrase rotating through my head: “what a sh&t-hole”. Oh my. From the staff welcoming me by staring at their phones as I walked up to reception desk, to the point where I had to say “excuse me”, to genuinely huge clumps of hair in the shower plug hole… just nothing positive to say. Ok, I suppose I could say “cheap”.

Very tired place Checked in and ask for room at rear of hotel, told they couldn’t change it - there were however rooms available - I can read the rooms list in front of me!! Room not overly clean, and unable to open windows. Air con noisy. Breakfast at 6.30. “Freshly cooked buffet” but cold sausages, bacon, beans, burnt tomatoes - disgusting scrambled eggs Gave it to waitress and she just took it and walked off. No questions no apology. Really really poor overall

Avoid this hotel like the plague This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Went with a coach party and had booked 2 rooms. They had overbooked and only had one room left so my friend had to sleep on the pull out sofa in my room. The “executive suite” was anything but executive with a door that didn’t close properly, the fridge didn’t work, lights above the bed didn’t work and there were metal plates in the wall where a picture was supposed to be. The room was clean and the staff were amazing but chronically under staffed so there was an hour between courses in the dinning room. The food is obviously frozen meals as the lasagne was still cold in the middle. We didn’t bother waiting for the desert as the quality of food was so poor. Despite e-mails and phone calls I have had no response from management requesting a refund for a room we paid for but did not get. Head office was no help as their hotels are basically franchised which allows them to wash their hands of any complaint. Next step Ombudsman.
