The rooms, which have been recently refurbished, but maintain a traditional feel, feature a private bathroom, a hairdryer and a hospitality tray. Tea and coffee facilities and a work space are also provided in each room whilst some rooms feature views across the Yorkshire Moors.

Modern features and traditional touches blend just as harmoniously in the decor of the on-site Brasserie 1 Restaurant, which serves a choice of freshly made treats crafted from locally sourced produce.

The interior decor is enriched by an open fire and French windows, but guests can also dine al fresco on the restaurant's terrace.

Nearby attractions include the Ilkley Golf Club, the Middleton Woods and the Cow and Calf Rocks on Ilkley Moor.

Groupon's Guide To West Yorkshire

West Yorkshire stretches on miles of uplands and steep valleys of urban clusters and countryside, standing out as a mosaic of interplaying land formations washed by the rivers Aire and Calder.

West Yorkshire is home to the world's first nature reserve, Walton Hall, and to the scenic Ilkley Moor, the homeland of the county's anthem, boasting an array of unique rock formations. Outdoorsy types can embark on a climbing or bouldering adventure on The Chevin and admire the scenic sights of Harewood House.

The riverside remains of the Sandal Castle in Wakefield, the Cartwright Hall, and the Royal Armouries Museum are just a few of the highlights that heritage and cultural tourism aficionados can visit while in West Yorkshire.

Lovely place to relax Visited Craiglands for a 2 night break with three friends on a mid-week all inclusive deal, celebrating joint big birthdays (thanks for our bottle of birthday fizz). We had a great time - the food was amazing and the staff were lovely. The location is great, 10 minutes from the station (although it's a steep hill up to the hotel but £4 in a taxi) shops and Betty's Tearooms and 10 minutes from the Tarn and Moor. Definitely recommend for a short break.

Wonderful mid-week break Booked this hotel as a treat for hubbys birthday and couldn’t have asked for more. The room although small it was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked and presented well. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious, best meal out for a long time. The hotel is within walking distance if likely which is a thriving town with a wide variation of shops and cafes. And to top it all we managed to get an all meals inclusive deal. Would definitely recommend. Will be booking again.

Average with good and bad points We stayed for 2 nights at Craiglands. The hotel is ideally situated for a short walk into the centre of Ilkley with its lovely shops and places to eat and great walks on the moors. There is a huge car park with loads of space The staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean and quiet with a huge bathroom There is a safe in the room which is always a bonus The negative point however was the hotel and our room especially the bathroom was freezing cold even though the towel rail was permanently on The radiator didn’t work and there a small electrical heater which was permanently on during our stay but didn’t make a lot of difference We asked at reception for a heater and the guy behind the desk gave us his heater so there is obviously an issue with the heating It’s a shame as it a lovely place but needs improvement The breakfast was buffet style and passable The spa facilities are now closed.

Hotel fully staffed by one person! My wife and I arrived at this hotel and it looked beautiful from the outside. We arrived at reception and a gentleman turned up to take our reservation. It was with Groupon and we were told there was no record in the system. The guy on reception called his manager on the phone and was asked to give us a room (thank goodness there was a room available) the room itself was very nice but we spent little time there and went to dinner as the kitchen closed at 20.00 (it was Saturday I thought it may be a little later than this). We had a steak dinner deal with the Groupon and when it came there was no sauce (just garlic butter). It had no chips was very dry and no steak knife so was difficult to cut with a normal knife. We were served by , checked in by, and the barman was the same person (called Ram). This guy was running the whole show all night apart from the 2 chefs that were in. I can't praise this gentleman enough as he was very calm, professional throughout. I was amazed someone could basically run everything front of house in such a large hotel. Apparently it normally has 4 staff and the new owners that have taken it over are looking into it. People had to wait for a long time to get a drink and some people were ordering dominos pizza and eating it at the hotel instead. People were getting Uber taxis to pubs in the village because of the wait to get a drink. Very poor for a best western chain as well have been to many and this is the worst by a long way. How anyone can just leave one person to do all this work is ridiculous. However Ram to his credit deserves all the praise because if it wasn't for him you wouldn't have a functional hotel over Valentine's weekend.
