Lovely hotel and location. There are pro and cons to this hotel. Firstly the location is brilliant right in the centre, so expect a bit of noise, not a problem for us. There is usually tea coffee/ kettle, towels soaps. We also got complementary cans of soft drink bottles water and some chocolate bars and biscuits. The rooms were clean and and a good temperature. I would say very nice hotel but not luxurious, I did not like the bed sheets may be me though as they seemed too small and kept coming off in by the morning. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nice and secure with key pads to gain entry once past reception. You also see beautiful old stair case if so not use the lift. No breakfast, but there are so many placing offering breakfast I understand why, the hotel even has a printed list to help you out in reception. Also the price we paid was really good so this makes the hotel from review 4 to 5. I would not want to pay full whack as overpriced then. Rooms are not made up every day, I am good with this , in fact we prefer this. Lady cleaning friendly when saw her and asked if we needed anything anyway, which we did not. We came by train so no headache car parking.

No Sleep Until 2:00am Unfortunately, whatever else this hotel has to commend it, (and to be fair, there are many things), I cannot recommend it unless you are in Liverpool to party into the early hours. The problem is that several rooms are immediately above a bar/restaurant that plays insanely loud music until 2:00am. And I mean INSANELY loud, thumping bass, coming through the structure of the building; God knows what it must be like in the bar itself. Unfortunately two nights of very poor sleep completely wrecked our visit to Liverpool. A shame really, as otherwise the hotel was pleasant and well placed in the centre. The bar is not under the ownership of the hotel, so there is little they can do about it. The hotel website does warn to "expect some external city centre noise during weekends", but that is more than a bit disingenuous. We are not talking some occasional passing revellers at closing time, or an early morning bin collection, this is incessant, window rattling, floor vibrating, multi-megawatt mayhem from 5:00pm to 2:00am. If you are still tempted by this hotel, I suggest asking for a room on the top floor, as this will distance you from the source of the noise, and may attenuate it a little. I suspect it would be insufficient.

Ok for a room The best point about this hotel is the location for visiting Liverpool as a tourist. A couple of minutes from the the pier head, Liverpool one, Liverpool museum, Beatles statue and much more The staff are friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in very early. Tea coffee in the room. One pack of biscuits for two of us. Room was clean. Best western do falsely advertise this hotel with a best and breakfast rate. We did book this rate and did receive an email a couple of weeks before staying saying it would not be honoured as we had ‘received a good rate’ according to them. Anyway we couldn’t be bothered to raise it further. There are no facilities at the hotel. No communal areas. So if you’re just looking for a room this is the place.

Avoid not worth the hassle Don’t bother booking, I booked this on a Black Friday deal last roughly 12 weeks ago, booked as bed and breakfast also stated this on my booking, I received a email in January stating if I wish to purchase breakfast at hotel I can, when contacted them they were quite rude stated if I wasn’t happy I could get a refund, but carried on with booking, then received several emails stating year 2025 is the year of free breakfast for each night booked, so contacted them again, was told again I had no breakfast and could purchase one, I wasn’t happy and told them I would raise a complaint with best western, but left the hotel booked for weekend as it was our 37 years anniversary and booked this hotel with other friends. Then 2 days ago I received a email stating that they have cancelled and refunded my booking as I have had several conversations with reception and do not contact or book this hotel again, very rude and unprofessional for such a big chain of hotels, obviously they don’t like to hear of a complaint but when you pay for something you expect to get what you pay for. On the plus side they haven’t spoiled our weekend as I have booked a better hotel which I have used before. Avoid this place as your booking is not 100% guaranteed if you raise a complaint.

Lovely hotel I've stayed here on numerous occasions, can honestly say I've never had any problems, easy friendly check in.nice, clean well presented rooms, and a perfect location,if I could be ultra critical I would say they need to put a loo brush in the bathroom, not for everyone I know.but that's the only improvement I think it could have
