Lovely reception staff NYE a man and women. Stayed for NYE, was very busy but reception staff were working really hard to get everyone checked in and was apologetic, really appreciated their hard work and kindness. Thank you.

The worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had I stayed here for New Years Eve night 2025. I booked through booking.com and paid £128 with breakfast for a double room and single bed (that’s all that was left) On check in the queue was massive - which is to be expected on NYE but the staff were so slow. Everyone was going up in the lift and coming straight back down as their room keys didn’t work. I checked in online before arriving so I thought I’d be able to go to a separate desk but no - I still had to queue so online check in is pointless. I was given my room key, went to room 524 they key didn’t work. I went back down to reception she made the keys again, I went back up and they still didn’t work. I went back to reception she created me new room keys for 505 and that worked after a few tries. I don’t know if the locks are old or if it was staff error but it was just carnage and stressful as I had a dinner reservation booked and had to get ready. The rooms have not been done up at all, it still looks like the same old jury’s inn it once was. The bed was a TINY double and really uncomfortable mattress. 505 has an interlocked door with next door so I could hear the couple next to me arguing all night so I hardly slept. The breakfast the next day is SHOCKING for £13 each. The food has been left out for ages the eggs were like rubber. The mugs were dirty mine had a lipstick stain on. It just didn’t feel clean. On check out I asked for a breakfast refund as it was shocking and they obliged. I would not stay here again unless serious renovations and improvements are made.

Not much positive to say. Absolutely shocking hotel, checking in took 40 minutes for some, bar closed at 11pm so had to leave the hotel for another drink, struggled to get served at the bar when it was open, the breakfast wasn’t good apart from the coffee. Rooms are extremely dated, the reception and bar area is quite nice to look at but that’s about it for positives. It’s not the 1970’s with dirty shower curtains over the bath.
