Hotel is 30 years out of date, very tired and needs money spending to upgrade Dirty paintwork windows tied with string Cobwebs on walls Worn plastic headboards Sagging mattresses TV not working TV remote back missing Bed side light not working Cracked toilet pan No hanging hook in bathroom. One T bag. Shower soaked toilet paper. I could go on and on. DO NOT GO.

Friendly staff, shame about the cakes Staff were very friendly from the Receptionist to the waiting staff My gluten free option wasn’t the best I’ve had but by no means the worst. The sandwiches were excellent but the cakes (3 sorts) were all shop bought, however, instead of the usual scone I had a hot X bun which was lovely My husbands regular version was the same, sandwiches lovely, cakes x 3 and small scone were sadly shop bought. We know that it’s difficult in the current climate to make things pay but whilst we were there there were 5 other couples having Afternoon Tea + a funeral wake in the next room so we would have thought that having so many people there it would have been worth it to make some cakes. Having said all that we had a really nice time and were glad that we went We would probably go back in the future if we could still get a Groupon deal

Very dated, tatty, cold The room was cold, dated and tired looking with stains on the carpet. The bathroom had neither a shelf or towel rail so we had to put our toiletries on top of the toilet cistern! The cooked breakfast was luke warm and bacon over-cooked. The outside space looked lovely and I'm sure it's delightful in the summer months, which is a shame that the experience was so disappointing for our birthday celebration visit.

Worst hotel ever! The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Very run down room, the room was freezing cold, the small wall heater could have been turned on prior to our visit. There was one lady doing about 4 people’s jobs. The bar had hardly anything in, the bar and restaurant was very cold and run down. The food was ok although my husbands starter, which was fish cake with sweet chilli sauce, looked and tasted like cheap frozen fish cakes. Even though the hotel is hotel friendly, to bring them into the restaurant right next to our table was a bit much, the dog was barking really loudly at us. This was a birthday treat off my hubby, we couldn’t wait to leave the next morning. No atmosphere, dark, dank and extremely run down! Very expensive night for a really uncomfortable stay. We won’t be returning.☹️
