One night stay I am very grateful for how well the staff looked after me in this hotel. Elle (waitress), Leon (waiter), the man on reception (I forgot his name but he was working on the morning of Tuesday 17th February) all looked after me well, but the man who stood out the most was Stuart/Stewart (the man who was working the night shift on Monday 16th February). Stuart/Stewart really made my stay SO enjoyable through his approachability, friendliness and how pleasant he was to talk to. Thank you Stuart for making my stay SO memorable and joyful!! I wish you well _

Groupon's Guide To Belfast

Known as the economic engine of Northern Ireland, Belfast is a cosmopolitan city combining a rich heritage with contemporary perks. Once home to the Irish linen industry and the famous Harland and Wolff shipbuilders, Belfast is one of the most visited cities in Europe, boasting over 8 million visitors every year.

Guests can get a breath of fresh air with a stroll through the large number of parks and open spaces, while history enthusiasts may visit several historic sites, such as the 19th-century Albert Memorial Clock or the famous Stormont Castle, the main meeting place of the country’s Executive. A short walk from The River Lagan and the Waterfront Hall, shoppers may find plenty of opportunities to buy traditional Irish products at St George’s Market, the last surviving Victorian covered market in Belfast. Dining options are enriched by traditional bars where guests may enjoy the local ales and wines, while the restaurants offer a wide variety of Irish specialties, including the well-known Irish stew, a famous dish dating back to the 19th century, made from lamb or mutton as well as potatoes, onions, and parsley.

Nice hotel This is a lovely hotel. Honestly, I've been to the Clayton in Galway, but all the same. The din was so good, great craic down at the bar, but there are two downsideS. You have to pay for parking lyes you get a discount), but in my opinion £12.50 is a little overdrive because you've literally just putting a car in a place with lots of other cars. Also, the reception some times get the phone a bit too slow, but overall i still loved it. Staff are very friendly also.

Great choice Great hotel, convenient location for the city. It was my birthday, they had put up a banner and left a selection of desserts along with a card! So lovely. The staff are amazing we had a problem with the electrics which they sorted but as compensation upgraded us to breakfast service. I have stayed in Maldron hotels a number of times and always been happy with the stay - their sister brand, the Clayton exceeded my expectations. A great choice for Belfast City Centre. Special mention to Owen, Leon and Claudia absolute credit to the team. Leeanne and Angie Thank you ☺️

Saturday 14th Feb at Clayton Belfast Stayed Valentines night....Saturday. Room cost £259, and for that price I would have expected better. Bathroom especially just on adequate side of "well worn" Traffic noise, even on fourth floor, was loud enough for me to check (twice) if the windows were properly closed. Beds were good. Restaurant had a Valentines "deal" of three courses for two for £80. Add the supplement for steak and the "deal" had no change out of £100. My wife's starter was soup...very good. Mine was Squid....which was a single ring cut into five small pieces and "stacked" in the middle of the plate to give the (unsuccessful) impression of quantity. My wife's main was Sea Bass on Champ. The Sea Bass was two pieces of fish about the size of a matchbox, but half as thick. Champ should be potato with a hint of Scallion. This was Scallion with a hint of potato and was close to inedible. My main was steak which was so over seasoned, it could have been any meat and was tough as a boot. We both had cheesecake for dessert and both were good. Definitely room for improvement, especially at the price. Overall, a disappointment.
