Comfortable hotel in an excellent location Due to some recent negative reviews I was a bit wary of booking this hotel but did so due to it's great location in the heart of Bristol. I need not have worried, our experience of the hotel, it's facilities and staff was completely positive. Our room was spacious, well equiped and spotless. The common areas of the hotel were equally neat and tidy and the breakfast area was sufficiently large to comfortably handle the number of guests arriving there each morning. The area outside the hotel is traffic free for much of the day and consequently there was little or no street noise to bother us. The shopping areas and old town are within short walking distance and doing so always felt safe. We received very good value at this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Reception/check in needs improving Lovely hotel but let down by reception staff who were dismissive and unhelpful. The busy hotel definitely needs more staff. Could be great.....

This is not a four star hotel as advertised for several reasons… I hope the management/owners take note of the bad reviews. I have stayed in the Dublin one and been to the London one a couple of times as well. It looks beautiful from the outside however shocking experience the moment you set foot inside. *No snacks such as crisps, vending machines almost empty *Waited at their restaurant for 10 mins to ask what the soup of the day was, the restaurant had zero customers, I am not surprised *Ordered a glass of wine from the assistant manager who explained they were short staffed and that Mondays is there worst day, well I certainly felt the brunt of that.. *Went to reception to ask for water as the two bottles there were empty So glad I’m staying at the Leonardo which is head and shoulders above this one. Miserable and dismissive staff.

Lovely room shame about the evening meal Room was spacious, beds were comfy so couldn’t fault the room. The evening meal in the restaurant wasn’t a very good experience. Limited menu so expected food to be of a good standard. However the beef burger, which we waited a while for, was burnt and hard on the outside and quite pink in the middle. No one asked us how the meal was either
