Family stay I remember when this was the Pembrook and then the Hilton. We booked one double and two singles but ended up with camp beds. The coridoors are discusseding and the doors look like the have been repaired after being damaged. The bathrooms are poor, brackes present for soap and shampoo but instead we have one little bottle between 4. Pool advertised but you had to book one hour slot and pay as well as paying for towels.

Boycott this Hotel This hotel should be boycotted by all future, potential guests!! When recently attending for a function, we parked in the hotel car park before asking at Reception where it was held. Despite directing us to the event, the Receptionist did not ask if we had parked there so did not alert us to a problem. Several days later, I received a £100 fine from a company that apparently operated the hotel car park, for profit. Doubtless the hotel is also profiteering from this. Subsequent online research highlighted the ongoing problem. My father called the hotel and spoke with Manager Dale O'Callaghan. On behalf of the hotel, he accepted NO responsibility for making guests aware of the problem - instead only blaming unwitting guests. My father explained that several others in our Group had also fallen foul of this and received the same fines but the Manager just blamed them too! The approach of not accepting a clear problem and blaming guests speaks volumes of the lack of customer service values by the Manager/Hotel. It doesn't deserve paying customers! Our Group will not be using the hotel again and I urge others to boycott it too.

Shocking hygiene We stayed at this hotel dinner b&b. The restaurant was totally unhygienic and shouldn't be serving food. Serving service dirty and covered in dust. Hair and dirt on plates. Staff not bothered at all, was told by a member of staff not to eat elsewhere. Complained to reception not bothered at all. Won't be rushing back to any Britannia hotel.

Pool Issues We stayed at this hotel with our family and found it average overall. The pool policy only allows one adult per two children, which didn’t work for us at all — with four children and a baby, one adult had to stay with the baby while the kids had to take turns using the pool. Visiting in December, the pool was essential for us. Phones are also not allowed in the pool area, which can be inconvenient for parents. The lifts were very slow, especially during meal times and check-in/check-out hours. Other than these issues, the stay was okay — you get what you pay for.
