Lovely clean room Stayed here for one night and found it a very nice place to stay. Well located just out of the city centre but perfect for poker and seaburn. The room was large, very clean with a good sizwd tv. The bed was large and comfy. I had a great sleep. The lobby was clean and welcoming . Parking was free and there were lots of spaces.

Big Old Beach Hotel Spent the night here for a change of scenery. Hotel has fantastic views of the beach, rooms are huge with great beds and TV... Even though the hotel is quite dated, its OK, the spa was fine and breakfast was excellent. The staff were pleasant too... Only thing that spoilt it, even though this is a cheap hotel, was a couple of smackheads wandering around the place. No fault of the staff or booking management.

We don't accept people from the road hotel policy the location is wonderful right on the beach get for taking the dogs as there pet friendly the Atmosphere is less then great rooms are ok nothing special slightly expensive but its what it is some of the staff attitude is terrible one male member of staff told me they don't accept people from a certain road in Sunderland which has put us off the hotel i personally wouldn't recommend the hotel after that incident

Filthy Hotel - Avoid at all costs I stayed in this hotel on the 4th December in Room 102 - This room was the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. I have tried to contacted Britannia Group HQ and have been ignored. For £165.90 a night, I would expect better - twice the price of competitors. AVOID this hotel.

Excellent all round service from professional staff, other Hotels need to up their game. I cannot speak any more highly of the Grand Hotel,. All of the staff from reception, management, house keeping, Leisure Club and catering go above and beyond to help, nothing is too much trouble for them . The rooms are clean, very comfortable and refreshed daily by the friendly housekeeping team who are always there to help. The staff have been very understanding and accommodating at a time that I needed them the most and for that I cannot thank them enough.
