Garden party room was amazing for a girlie birthday trip Absolutely brilliant night in the garden party room. What an amazing space to all get together to celebrate. The hot tub was lovely, warm and ready when we arrived. The whole place is well equipped with glasses, plates, cutlery. The beds were all comfortable. All of the facilities were top notch. Plenty of towels, robes and slippers provided. We all had an amazing time and would 100% book again.

Our Visit to Hollin House Hotel Bollington Jan 2026 When we arrived to Hollin House Hotel the views was amazing. We checked in 1 Hour earlier than the 3pm check in. The receptionist was welcoming and our room was ready. We opted for the superior room and on first impressions was ok. The room was clean and the bed was comfy with nice pillows etc… the only issue was the room was pumping hot. We turned the rad down to zero and opened the window. We also turned off the bathroom rad as this was also pumping hot. We went out for about 2 hours for a walk and then came back but the room was still pumping hot. My fiancé called reception and was talking to a lovely chap called Leo. He was more than helpful came to the room and tried to sort out the rad. The TV also wasn’t picking up ITV. He moved us to another room and for the inconvenience said he will give us a couple of rounds of drinks. We had a meal at the Hollin house hotel that night and the food was amazing. Both Leo and Sophie were second to none in customer service. Would highly recommend. Top quality service at a great price.

OK, but not fantastic Room 55. Cold room, relying on 2 plug in portable heaters to warm it up. Radiator not working. Loud clicking or knocking noise from ceiling in corridor, could be heard at night in the room(probably heating pipes). LED type light fitting in room with one bulb not working and the fitting itself was coming away from the ceiling. Dirty marks on one of the hand towels and cobwebs on the coving. Extractor in bathroom not working. Buffet breakfast was served from 3 serving containers, one steaming hot when you lifted the lid, the other 2 only luke warm. Plate warmer not working, so plates were stone cold. Breakfast on Sunday morning just warm as a result. Dining room very cold, needing portable plug in heaters, dotted about. A roomy bedroom and bathroom. No wardrobe but several wall hooks to hand clothes up from. Carpet a bit grubby. Nice big bed. Decent sized TV. Very good hot powerful shower above bath. Lobby and stairs are impressive. Reception staff and bar/restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant not bad. We had 3 courses. Cheese soufflé and Beef bourguignon was nice as was the leek and broccoli soup and creamy tuscan chicken breast dish. Although the sticky toffee pudding had an unusual taste and the choc fudge cake was a little dry.

New year residential package We recently stayed at Hollin House on a three night new year residential package and have a few issues: We were not aware the hotel is dog friendly- could not find any indication to this on the website. Dogs were allowed in the dining room, with owners walking through having taken the dogs for walks and carrying their filled poo bags through the dining whilst guests were eating. There was also a dog at the gala dinner and dancing on the dance floor being held by its owner. Had we known this is a dog friendly hotel I doubt we would have booked it - there were a lot of dogs about! The dining room and bar were very cold, with corridors and lift icy. The lift was extremely temperamental. On speaking to staff about the cold we were told there was a problem with the heating and engineers not available to fix it. The hot buffet food was cold, not helped by the hot plate racks holding cold plates. The food area was very compact with guests being unable to move round freely without getting in one another’s way. Staff were very pleasant, but on a couple of occasions the reception desk and bar were unattended. Even after ringing the bell for attention it took a while for someone to come - to find a few staff were having a chat in the dining room! Not very professional. The gala dinner was really good - apart from the dog in attendance- the staff all worked really hard, thank you. We booked two superior rooms which quite frankly were not. Both being in need of some tlc. We do not normally complain but felt there were too many issues to ignore, having paid nearly £700 per couple.
