It is not all about the food, though. History buffs can retrace the life of King Richard III and pay a visit to his medieval castle or the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre. New Walk Museum & Art Gallery in Leicester caters to those in need for some culture fix, while nature enthusiasts can enjoy the highlights of Rutland Water Nature Reserve.

Dreadful hotel Dreadful hotel. Chaos at breakfast. Awful food. Cold and not cosy at all. Horrible location. Avoid at all costs. The breakfast is the worst organised I have ever seen. The food is slop. The staff don't give a damn, either at reception or anywhere.

Enjoyable and comfortable overnight Stay I arrived late and the team behind reception were very helpful and provided a warm welcome. The large room was very comfortable and well presented, and the level of cleanliness was excellent. In the morning, I enjoyed a buffet breakfast with a wide choice of products !!. The food was hot !! I thoroughly recommend this hotel to any business traveller needing to stay overnight in a great location

Good but spoiled Perfectly good hotel, clean, good beds, food decent. Value ok. Location good. You get what you pay for. Like always it’s the small things which one remembers. I don’t recall seeing any posters or Signs advising guests that they need a code to get out of the car park. You don’t need a coat to get into the car park. When I checked in this wasn’t mentioned. So, yes, the next morning I’m in a train of four or five vehicles queueing at the exit barrier not realising I need a code. Neither did the cars behind us. Chaos. I called the hotel reception to ask them for help only to receive a lecture on being more observant as there are “ posters everywhere which you should have seen”. I remonstrated and asked for help but the receptionist lady said she couldn’t, that I would have to go back to the reception. No chance of help then? And no appreciation of the growing queue of drivers who equally were not aware that they need a code. Eventually, another Guest appeared from the car park and press the code into the pad. Shoddy signposting, a lack of empathy by the officious receptionist and a cloud over what would’ve been a decent day.
